X No Longer Marks the Spot

I used to belong to a club based on the vintage Yamaha motorcycles we members owned and rode. It was an email group. If something was going on among club-members it’d get sent out via email, with dates, times and rendezvous-points all shared. If owners were looking for advice, they’d post their questions for the group. Some members would share parts and accessories for sale, trade, or sometimes as a gift in need of some TLC its owner couldn’t provide.
Whatever was going on, you’d see it come up among the emails you’d receive. And nothing else. If an email came from the group, it was about the bikes; restoring them, riding them, fixing them, and riding them some more. No politics, no personal beefs, just our bikes and what we shared as owners.
If you’re reading this on Facebook, you might notice it’s about the only thing from me you’ll find here. That’s because you’ll seldom find me. There’s just too much you have to wade through to find info of interest to me. I post to my blogs at my websites, thomring.com and theredracecar.com and share them on Facebook, not to mention X.
Which is the point here. I don’t want to mention X again because I don’t want to go there. Literally.
You know, I value my vintage bikes. I’d never want to go through any muck riding them. And I don’t want to take this blog through any muck either. So no more X. No more mention.
